Small bouquet of sunflower...

I did this for my aunt yesterday. It was really a small bouquet. I find it funny too :). My hair seems to feel softer whenever I work in a flower shop. I don't know why. It could be because of the environment.
Been feeling busy and tired recently. I am going to have a good rest this coming weekend. My Miemi sleeps so soundly on the bed. It is cold today. Love my cat :).

A bouquet of chrysanthemums carnations and yellow gerberas...

As you can see, there are chrysanthemums, carnations and yellow gerberas. I love the colour combination, although some may think it is too striking. This is my favourite bouquet. It makes me feel alive and energized. :O)

A bouquet of red roses for my cousin...

I did this bouquet of red roses for my cousin. My cousin is sweet and lovely. She is 21 now and yet I still treat her like a child. On many occasions, I tend to forget that she has grown up. Whenever I see her, I like to tease her just like the good old times. Looks like I am getting old :o). Yeah...and wiser.
Sometimes, I wish I could turn back the clock and be young again. To learn, to love and to give. Well, I am still learning to learn, to love and to give. It is going to be a journey, definitely not a destination.

A flower arrangement for my aunt this Vesak Day.

I got up at 7 this morning and went to the market to get flowers for my aunt. I think I spent almost half an hour at the florist shop looking for suitable flowers for the day's occasion and for my aunt. These are the flowers that I have picked and arranged.
Initially, I had intended to buy white chrysanthemums instead of the yellow ones. However, I felt that the yellow ones are more natural and lively. This is a simple arrangement and I am contented with what I had done. I am glad that my aunt likes it. I'll bring flowers to her whenever there is a special occasion...

My pot of sunflower...

If I have a garden, my garden will be filled with sunflowers and they will be standing tall and bright. They simply look beautiful to me. The sunflowers face only in one direction, that is towards the sun. Can you imagine all sunflowers in your garden facing the same direction towards the sun from east to west and facing  eastward again the next morning before the sun rise? Hmm... I can picture that. My "sunshine" garden...

Red roses...

This may be a  simple bouquet of red roses but it can speak a thousand words. I spent the whole of last week in Far East Flora, arranging flowers for Mother's Day. I realised during my "vacation" in Far East Flora that among all the roses, yellow roses are the most beautiful roses. I was suprised then... I have always loved white roses.
Sunflowers always make me smile and of course, so do the rest of the flowers. When I visit a florist shop, the first thing I look out for is the sunflower. Sunflowers are tall, bright and particularly attractive and smiley to me. Whenever I finish a flower arrangement, I would say to the flowers "flowers, GLOW!" I love nature and respect nature.

When I am connected with flowers, I behave like an anthomania (花痴):o). I am glad to know that some of those who love flowers behave the same way like I do. At least, I know it is normal and I am normal :o). I haven't been drawing lately. Starting to miss drawing. Will put up some animal sketches as well as... perhaps, children's portrait :o).

Doraemon and flowers...

That's my Doraemon and the flowers that I have created. Picture is taken by Melanie. I think she takes better picture than I do. Can you see Doraemon's arm bulging out a little? Yes, that's what I am refering to, his MUSCLE... A badminton player too:o).
I spent an hour and a half this morning distributing my flyers. I always take this as a form of exercise. I feel great looking at my flyers that Melanie and I have designed. I am happy that I am working for myself and doing things that I love. Melanie asked me if I have a holiday mood on this Labour Day. I told her I am on holiday everyday simply because I am doing things that I love...

''I choose what I want to think... and do what I want to do... and keep doing what I am doing... Eventually, I turn my thought into reality..."  Move with art...

Romantic moments with Gerberas...

I would like to apologise for not posting a bouquet of roses but a bouquet of gerberas. I did the flower arrangement and Melanie took the photo. I think it is a good shot. See, Melanie has artistic skills too. These flowers are for Mel's mother. Her mother loves flowers. She even does better flower arrangements than me. We intend to do one for her mum on mother's day. It is going to be fun!

Flowers placed beside my T.V...

On my left, the flowers are arranged in an Ikebana style. Flowers used are Birds of Paradise and Gerbara. I display it beside my T.V. Birds of Paradise look like swans to me. They bloom from September to May and are native to South Africa. Birds of Paradise require a good amount of sunlight. Usually I would leave my flowers under the morning sun for a while. As well as allowing my cat to tan herself under the sun along my corridor. That is her usual habit.

If you ever notice, you'll tend to see stray cats sleeping under the sun instead. I just got to know that white cat with blue eyes are usually deaf. I remembered I saw one below my block and I only happen to see the cat twice. Of course, the cat was all beautiful to me as it had shimmering blue eyes. Perhaps, the cat might not be the deaf one.

I am going to put up beautiful bouquets of roses soon. Hang on!

Table flowers for my tiny shelter...

Flowers used are carnation, daisy (bellis perimis), pom poms and leaves. It is a simple table setting but yet freshens up my home. Miemi would usually sniff it and turn away. She didn't seem to like my flowers or perhaps, she didn't want to spoil them by nibbling on them. She lovesmy neighbour's plants. She loves to nibble at them and I pretend not to see it.

There was once my aunt gave me a money plant. I thought Miemi would like it. The plant lasted for only two days because... I didn't know why there were worms around it. My neighbour told me about the worms. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known it. Growing or tending to plants was completely new to me at that time. Soon, I am becoming an expert.

I love white roses. Pathetically, I only received 2 hand bouquets of 12 white roses in my life. Many times I bought for someone else :o), during a friend's birthday, Valentine's day or Christmas day or even any other day.

Peach Roses: Peach roses signify appreciation, gratitude, modesty, and also can convey sympathy.

Lilac Roses: Lilac roses indicate the sender has fallen in love at first sight with the recipient and is enchanted.

Pale Pink Roses: Pale pink roses imply grace, gentleness, and joy.

Light Pink Roses: Light pink roses express a sense of fun, happiness, and whimsy.

Deep Pink Roses: Deep pink roses say, "Thank you."

Yellow Roses: Yellow roses indicate friendship and freedom ― so don't send them if your intentions are romantic and long-lasting.

Orange Roses: Orange roses communicate enthusiasm, desire, and fascination on the part of the sender.

Which one do you want to send or receive?
